You've probably seen terrazzo in places like airport floors, mall bathrooms, and public parks. It's a surface that's comprised of chips of various materials, like granite, quartz, granite and glass and almost looks like a mosaic. It's having a big moment in interior design, which I find to be funny considering how low-brow most terrazzo uses can be. Nevertheless, I'm finding myself drawn to the below images, particularly ones that use larger scale terrazzo.

These are moments I'm glad I don't own my own home, because I don't think terrazzo would be a worthwhile long-term investment. That being said, it's definitely chic. I've been oogling over Sarah Sherman Samuel's Instagram sneak peeks of Mandy Moore's new Pasadena home. She's used terrazzo in a few unexpected places and I'm obsessed.
